About this tool
A page range is the wrong tool when you do not know which page is which. Here every page is shown as a thumbnail: move it, turn it or remove it, and the saved PDF contains exactly what you see.
How to use it
- Drop your PDF and wait for the page previews.
- Use the arrows to move a page, the rotate button to turn it and the cross to delete it.
- Click Save to download the reorganised PDF.
Typical jobs
- Remove the blank pages a scanner inserted between sheets.
- Put pages back in order after a batch was fed through the wrong way round.
- Take a confidential page out before forwarding a document.
- Turn one landscape page without touching the rest.
For a single mechanical change on many pages, the range-based tools are quicker: Split PDF to extract, Rotate PDF to turn every page or every other page.
How the previews relate to the saved file
The thumbnails are small images drawn by PDF.js in your browser, only so you can recognise pages. The saved file is built from the original pages, not from those images, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged.
Thumbnails take memory, so a document is shown up to 150 pages. For anything longer, cut it down with Split PDF first.
Deleting a page is not redaction
Removing a whole page really does remove it: the saved file is a new document made of the pages you kept, and a deleted page is not hidden inside it.
Covering part of a page is different. A black rectangle drawn over text in a PDF editor leaves the text underneath in the file, where it can be selected and copied. If something has to disappear from a page you are keeping, use a tool that actually redacts, and check the result by trying to select the text.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the page limit 150?
A preview is rendered for every page and held in memory, which gets heavy on phones for very long documents. Split a long file into sections first, organise each, and merge them back if you need to.
Can I add pages from another PDF?
Not in this tool. Combine the files first with Merge PDF, then open the result here to arrange the pages.
Do the page numbers printed on the pages change?
No. Reordering moves the pages; the numbers printed in their content are not rewritten.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Previews are drawn and the new file is assembled entirely in your browser.
